Bonifacio Old Town

Bonifacio Old Town

Bonifacio is the picturesque capital of Corsica and commune, located at the southern tip of the island, in the Corse-du-Sud department of France.

Bonifacio Old Town

Bonifacio is a bustling harbour town with an impressive citadel and array of  ancient houses in Bonifacio Old Town. The cafés that line the quay, around the port are an excellent place to sit, relax and watch the world go by!

Wander along its narrow streets taking in the architecture, churches, shops, bars, restaurants and cafés…not to mention the fantastic views you’ll get from the ramparts.

Walk along the cliffs of Bonifacio to the Pertusato lighthouse. The views looking across to Sardinia are superb!

Bonifacio is also a popular destination for those seeking villa holidays and hotel accommodation in the southern part of the island. Take advantage of one of the many boat trips that depart from the harbour to see the surrounding area, the Lavezzi Islands and across to Sardinia.

The coast around Bonifacio town is very beautiful, with several well known Mediterranean beaches located nearby, that include Rondinara beach! One of our favourites.
